O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
and our own most gentle Queen and Mother,
look down in mercy upon England,
thy Dowry, and upon us all who greatly
hope and trust in thee.

Through thee it was that Jesus our Saviour
and our Hope was given unto the world;
and he hath given thee to us that we
might hope still more.

Plead for us thy children, whom thou
didst receive and accept at the foot
of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother.
Intercede for our separated brethren,
that they may be united with
us in the one true Fold. Pray for us all,
dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good
works, we may all deserve to see and
praise God together with thee in our
heavenly home.

“I am with you always, YES, to the end of time”
(Matthew 28:20)

Dear Friends in Christ,

As we write (March 2018), we are deep into The Season of Lent which is, in essence, the Church’s Spring time. Lent is a journey and just as we progress from the long dark days of winter to the lengthening of our daylight hours, so we move from the darkness within ourselves towards Jesus the “light of the world”. With this in mind, we invite you once again to join us for a very special weekend as we continue our journey, seeking to draw closer to Jesus our Lord and Saviour!

The Northern Catholic Conference is taking as its theme this year the words of Jesus to His disciples as he commissioned them to go and make disciples of the whole world. He assured them of His spiritual presence by concluding: “I am with you always, YES, to the end of time” (Matthew 28:20).

Scripture tells us many times never to be afraid because God “...is with us always..”, and here He re-affirms and stresses it adding, “YES, to the end of time”. This should fill us all with hope that we are never alone in any of the situations in life in which we find ourselves.... no matter how dire!

So, let us not feel despair in these turbulent times, or overwhelmed by the storm of secularism which has invaded us and outlawed religion from our society, that threatens the dignity of the human person and the sanctity of life through the ever increasing political encroachment into our everyday lives. Let us rather answer the call to step out in faith, trusting that God has the supernatural power to re-new and restore our world and everything he has created to how it should be. Let us play our part....

Maybe it’s been a while since you attended the conference or perhaps you have never been! We would ask all of you, including our faithful, regular guests..... Why not come this year and bring a friend or family member with you to enjoy the NCC experience? It is always fresh and unique and abounding in graces and blessings, and we guarantee....... you won’t be disappointed!

Displaying our poster is really important to us so we can reach as many people as possible. We really need your help with this so please display a poster in your church and keep us in your prayers.
